Soprano Lana Sophie Westendorf completed her Master's degree in Music Theatre under Prof. Lioba Braun at the Cologne University of Music and Dance, graduating with distinction in the role of Thérèse in Poulenc's "Les mamelles de Tirésias". She previously completed her Bachelor's degree in Voice in the class of Prof. Sabine Ritterbusch at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hanover. In March 2026, she was awarded the Scholarship for Outstanding Young Talent in Classical Music by the German Music Competition (Deutscher Musikwettbewerb).

On the opera stage, she was most recently seen from February to May 2025 as Prinzessin in "Der gestiefelte Kater" at the Allee Theater in Hamburg. From 2021 to 2023, she performed with Oper auf dem Lande in Hanover, including the roles of Gianetta in Donizetti's "L'elisir d'amore" and Despina in Mozart's "Così fan tutte". She took her first steps on the opera stage at the age of 16 in the youth and supplementary chorus of Theater für Niedersachsen in Hildesheim, where she took part in various productions. In 2022, for example, she portrayed Amalia von Edelreich in the Rap'n Breakdance Opera based on Schiller's "Die Räuber ".

Alongside opera, she is also in demand as a concert and lieder singer. She made her orchestral debut with the Leipzig Symphony Orchestra in 2022 and appeared in various concert series in 2023. In 2025, she sang Telemann's "Brockes-Passion" with lautten compagney Berlin and the Sing-Akademie zu Berlin. In the field of lieder, she has distinguished herself with several competition prizes, including 1st Prize at the 2025 Rösrath Lied Duo Competition together with her duo partner and pianist Federica Stevanato.

Her interests also extend to early music: from 2022 to 2023, she toured Germany with Ensemble Filum in the Baroque opera "La serva padrona" (as Serpina). In 2024, she took part in the Baroque Vocal Academy under the patronage of Andreas Scholl, where she worked with Prof. Elisabeth Scholl as well as conductors Alessandro De Marchi, Paul Goodwin, and György Vashegyi.

In the 26/27 season, as a member of the Opera Studio at Oper Köln, she will appear in "Fest der Operette" and in "Der König verschenkt was" as Claire, in "Rigoletto" as the Page, in "Marla, die Maifliege" as the Dragonfly, in "Das Grandhotel der Gefühle" as Anger, in "Die Nachtigall" as the Cook, as well as Amore and Valetto in "L'incoronazione di Poppea".
