After film studies at La Fémis in Paris, Céline Baril began her career as a director of photography while also developing her work as a video artist across numerous theatre and opera productions all around the world.

For several years, she has collaborated with director Marie-Ève Signeyrole as a video artist on productions including “Samson et Dalila” at the Opéra national du Rhin, “L’infedeltà delusa” at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, “Belshazzar” at Theater an der Wien, “Romeo & Juliet”, also at Theater an der Wien, “Médée” at the Opéra-Comique, and “The Flying Dutchman” with the Orchestre de Normandie.

Alongside her work as a director of photography and video artist, Céline Baril is also a film director. She has directed two mid-length films, both of which have been selected for international film festivals. She is currently developing her first fiction feature film, produced by Apaches Films.
