Maike Raschke
Vita
The soprano, who comes from Berlin, studied in Hannover and in her home town. As a member of the International Opera Studio of Oper Köln (2009 to 2011), she made her debut at Oper Köln as Stella in Offenbach's "Tales of Hoffmann", Tebaldo ("Don Carlo"), Amore/Valletto ("L’incoronazione di Poppea"), Servilia ("La clemenza di Tito") and Papagena (“Die Zauberflöte"), among others. In the 2010.11 season she also took part in the highly acclaimed staged premiere of Stockhausen's "Sonntag" from the opera cycle "Licht". In the world premiere of Ingfried Hoffmann's "Vom Fischer und seiner Frau" she performed the role of the Fisherman’s Wife. Guest engagements have taken her to the Aalto-Musiktheater Essen, Theater Hagen, Theater Dortmund, Komische Oper Berlin, Ruhrtriennale, Wiener Festwochen and Potsdam Winter Opera.
At Oper Köln she recently performed Ida in "Die Fledermaus", Klärchen in "Im weißen Rössl", the roles of Papagena and First Lady in "Die Zauberflöte für Kinder", the Second Nursemaid in Kurt Weill's "Street Scene" and Olga in Jacques Offenbach's "La Grande-Duchesse de Gérolstein". Maike Raschke is a member of the ensemble of the Kinderoper Köln. In the 2021.22 season she was heard in various roles in the world premiere of Wulff-Woestens "Die Geschichte vom Fuchs, der den Verstand verlor", she will also play the role of Fräulein Andacht in "Pünktchen und Anton", several roles in the world premiere of the mobile production "Marla, die Maifliege", Wellgunde / 2nd Nibelung in "Das Rheingold für Jung und Alt”, Papagena in "Die Zauberflöte" as well as the 2nd Wood Sprite in "Rusalka".
