Die bolivianisch-albanische Sopranistin Carolina López Moreno, die in Deutschland geboren und aufgewachsen ist, studierte an der Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart sowie an der Manhattan School of Music in New York City. Zu ihrem Repertoire zählen u.a. Antonia („Les Contes d’Hoffmann“), Silvia („Zanetto“), Carmela („Mese Mariano“), Leonora („Il trovatore“), Liù („Turandot“), Suor Angelica, Nedda („Pagliacci“), Violetta („La traviata“), Susanna („I due Figaro“), Mariuccia („I due timidi“), Rose Maurrant („Street Scene“), Blanche („Dialogues des Carmélites“) und Pamina („Die Zauberflöte“).
Sie hat Recitals in Konzerthäusern sowie beim Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago, der Carnegie Hall, dem Metropolitan Club, der Berliner Philharmonie, der Jugendstil-Festhalle in Landau und der Universität Cambridge in England sowie in verschiedenen Konzerthäusern in Italien gegeben.
Zu ihren jüngsten Engagements zählen ihr Rollendebüt als Santuzza in einer Weltpremiere von Pietro Mascagnis „Cavalleria rusticana“ im Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, Olga in Giordanos „Fedora“ an der Oper Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, die Titelrolle in Francesco Ciléas „Adriana Lecouvreur“ an der L’Opéra Royal de Wallonie, die Inszenierung von „La Bohème“ unter Emma Dante am Teatro di San Carlo in Neapel, in Lima und Menorca, das Debüt in „Madama Butterfly“ beim Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago, Magda in „La Rondine“ am Teatro Regio in Turin, „Falstaff“ an der L’Opéra Royal de Wallonie sowie Rossinis „Stabat Mater“ am Teatro Massimo in Palermo.
In der Saison 2024.25 ist Carolina López Moreno mit „Madama Butterfly“ am Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino sowie an der Oper von Lyon, „La traviata“ am Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino und am Teatro Carlo Felice in Genua, „La Rondine“ mit dem London Symphony Orchestra unter der Leitung von Sir Antonio Pappano, „Ein deutsches Requiem“ am Teatro dell'Opera in Rom, „Faust“ am Royal Opera House in London und „Turandot“ beim Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago engagiert.
Im Herbst 2025 wird sie in der Titelrolle in Puccinis „Manon Lescaut“ an der Oper Köln debütieren.
