Vita
Bereits mit elf Jahren sang der englische Countertenor Jake Arditti Yniold in „Pelléas et Mélisande“ für das Glyndebourne Opernfestival und trat in zahlreichen Produktionen der English National Opera auf. Nach seinem preisgekrönten Auftritt beim Gesangswettbewerb der Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik 2012 entwickelte sich seine Karriere rasant. Er singt nicht nur barocke, virtuose Paraderollen in Opern wie Händels „Rinaldo“ (Bolshoi Theatre, Moskau), „Riccardo Primo“ (London Handel Festival) oder „Giulio Cesare“ (Teatro Colón und Theater an der Wien), sondern auch seltene Partien wie Emone in Traettas „Antigone“ (Wiener Kammeroper), Euripilo/La Discordia/Polluce in Cavallis „Elena“ (Festival d’Aix en Provence, Lille und Lissabon) oder Apollo in Legrenzis „La Divisione del Mondo“ (Strassburg, Mulhouse, Colmar, Nancy, Versailles und Köln). Jüngst machte er sein Rollendebüt als David in Händels „Saul“ (Theater an der Wien), sang die Titelrolle in Händels „Rinaldo“ für das Glyndebourne Festival sowie die Titelrolle in Corsellis „Achille in Sciro“ im Teatro Real Madrid. Moderne Rollen beinhalten Voice of Apollo in „Death in Venice“ (Stuttgart), Prinz Gogo in Ligetis „Le grand macabre“ (Essen) sowie „SUM“ von Max Richter und Wayne McGregor (Royal Opera House’s Linbury Theatre). Auch in zahlreichen Konzertsälen auf beiden Seiten des Atlantiks ist er regelmässig zu Gast. In der Spielzeit 23/24 ist er an der Oper Köln in „Die Krönung der Poppea“ als Nerone zu hören.
