Julian Schulzki
Vita
Julian Schulzki studierte Gesang an der Musikhochschule Köln bei Klesie Kelly-Moog. Schon während dieser Zeit trat der Bass an der Jungen Kammeroper Köln als Don Alfonso in »Così fan tutte«, den Theatern Solingen und Remscheid als Bartolo in »Le nozze
di Figaro« und der Rutgers Opera, USA, auf. Er war Stipendiat
des Richard-Wagner-Verbandes Köln und Preisträger des Podium
Junger Gesangssolisten. Er vervollkommnete seine stimmliche Ausbildung in zahlreichen Meisterkursen, außerdem besuchte er das Opernstudio der Mailänder Scala.
Seit 2004 ist er regelmäßig an der Oper Köln zu hören, unter anderem in zahlreichen Kinderopern sowie in »Don Carlo«, »La Traviata«, »Rigoletto«, »Otello«, »Salome« (Cappadocier), »Fidelio« (2. Gefangener), »Manon« und in »La Grande-Duchesse de Gérolstein« (Notar). Weitere Rollen an der Oper Köln waren Hunding (»Die Walküre für Jung und Alt«), Der König in »Der Teufel mit den drei goldenen Haaren« und der 3. Strolch in Orffs »Die Kluge«.
Sein Konzertrepertoire umfasst die großen Oratorien von Bach, Händel und Haydn bis zu Puccini und Rossini. Konzertreisen führten ihn unter anderem nach Prag, Rom, Salzburg und Paris.
An der Oper Köln steht Julian Schulzki in der Spielzeit 2021.22 als Alter Fuchs in »Die Geschichte vom Fuchs, der den Verstand verlor«, in verschiedenen Rollen in »Schnittstellen [II]«, einem Kooperationsprojekt der Oper Köln und InterArtes e.V., als 3. Strolch in Carl Orffs »Die Kluge« sowie als Schriftsteller Abakow in York Höllers »Der Meister und Margarita« auf der Bühne.
