Inviting generations - connecting generations. The team at Oper.Stadt.Schule welcomes everyone - young or old, big or small, from near or far (or anything in between). In order to experience, understand and shape opera and to enter into an exchange, numerous mediating and artistic programmes await you! These offer an in-depth and experience-oriented engagement with productions of Oper and Kinderoper Köln. With our programmes, we create spaces for encounters and invite you to become creative and develop your own artistic ideas.
Our team of experienced theatre educators offers comprehensive support for schools and teachers when visiting the opera. Additional modules can be booked free of charge, including further training and special performances for children under the age of 2. Another highlight is the "OPERA, SONG AND SCENE" project, in which children develop their own music theatre performance. Particularly noteworthy is our project “Unisono” for people with dementia, which gives them access to regular children's opera performances and achieves positive effects through music and encounters with children.
We also offer open workshops for audience members to experience theatre practice. These broad offerings give different target groups access to the world of opera and the art of musical theatre.
