On 4 February 2025, the Operating Committee of Bühnen der Stadt Köln approved the introduction of the Kölner Kultur-Soli (Cologne Culture Solidarity Fund).

From the start of advance ticket sales for the 25/26 season, ticket prices for opera, theatre and dance performances have included a €1.00 Culture Solidarity Fund contribution per ticket. For discounted tickets, this contribution is reduced in proportion to the applicable discount. The revenue generated by the Cologne Culture Solidarity Fund supports Cologne's independent arts scene.

When 70% of the seats in a seating category have been sold, the ticket price for that category increases by 10%. When 90% have been sold, the price increases by 20%. These increases are based on the price displayed at the start of advance ticket sales.

Our website always displays the price that is valid at the time of booking.

At the Opera House, Seating Categories 6 and 7 are exempt from this pricing policy.

Seating Plan

The seating plan of Cologne Opera at Offenbachplatz shows a semi-circular auditorium with the stage, stalls and two tiers of boxes. Seats are represented by coloured dots and divided into seven price categories. Yellow marks the highest-priced seats closest to the stage and centre of the auditorium, while orange indicates the lowest-priced seats in the outer and rear sections. A legend explains the colour coding.
