Bang-In Jung studied piano and musicology in South Korea. She then completed a master's degree in musicology at Humboldt University in Berlin under Dörte Schmidt and Arne Stollberg and, at the same time, a master's degree in accompaniment at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin under Alexander Vitlin. She gained experience during an internship at the Berlin State Opera / Young State Opera.
She was a scholarship holder of the Paul Sacher Foundation and worked as a lecturer at the Berlin University of the Arts from 2013 to 2020. As an accompanist, she has also worked at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Bayreuth Festival, and with the Bochum Symphony Orchestra, and accompanies the RIAS Chamber Choir.
Since the 2020–21 season, she has been the assistant to the choir director at the Cologne Opera.
