Thomas Reimer
Vita
Originally trained as a television technician, Thomas Reimer works in the fields of video design, graphics, video editing, and photography, and is regularly involved in TV and DVD productions.
One of his particular areas of expertise is the design of stage projections. In this context, he has worked at the Salzburg Festival, the Hamburg State Opera, the Theater an der Wien, the New National Theatre in Tokyo, and numerous other venues. He also worked closely with director Harry Kupfer on the musical production “Elisabeth”.
He has also worked at the Frankfurt Opera (“Iwan Sussanin”), the Teatro alla Scala in Milan (“Der Rosenkavalier”), the Bavarian State Opera in Munich (“Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk”), and the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin (“Macbeth”). He was last involved in “La Bohème” at the Cologne Opera in 2015. In season 2025-26, his video design will be featured in the revival of the production “Die Zauberflöte”.
