The young mezzo-soprano Ruth Häde, who grew up in Frankfurt (Oder), initially studied to be a school teacher in the subjects of music in Hanover, majoring in viola, and went on to complete a bachelor's degree in singing with Prof. Henryk Böhm in 2018. Since November 2020, she has been continuing her vocal studies in Prof. Lioba Braun's class at the Cologne University of Music and Dance.
While still a student, she made her debut at the Cologne Opera in April 2022 as Schwertleite and Flosshilde during a guest performance in South Korea in „Wagner's Ring for Children.“
From 2022 to 2024, Ruth Häde was a member of the International Opera Studio at the Cologne Opera, where she made her debut as Hänsel in Humperdinck's „Hänsel und Gretel“ and as the Second Lady in Mozart's „Die Zauberflöte,“ among other roles.
Since the 2024-25 season, Ruth Häde has been a member of the ensemble at the National Theater Mannheim, where she has appeared on stage as Hansel in „Hänsel und Gretel,“ Prince Orlofsky in „Die Feldermaus,“ and Sesto in „Giulio Cesare in Egitto,“ among others.
Guest performances have taken her to the E.T.A. Hoffmann Theater Bamberg in 2022 as Tasille in Handel's „Alessandro,“ to the Theater Bielefeld in 2024 as Mrs. Meg Page in Verdi's „Falstaff,“ and to the Mainfrankentheater Würzburg in Verdi's „Falstaff.“
Ruth Häde also performs as a versatile concert soloist. Among other things, she appeared as alto soloist in the recording of Gabriel Fauré's complete sacred works together with the Quilisma Youth Choir Springe.
The young singer gained valuable inspiration from masterclasses and lessons with KS Brigitte Fassbaender, KS Doris Soffel, KS Angelika Kirchschlager, Prof. Bernward Lohr, Prof. Dorothea Wirtz, Prof. Jörg Straube, and Rainer Mühlbach.
