Tetiana Zhuravel

Ukrainian soprano Tetiana Zhuravel graduated from the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine. Among other awards, she won second prize and the audience prize at the first International Éva Marton Singing Competition in Budapest (2014), the audience prize at the first International Virgilijus Noreika Competition for Singers (2017) in Vilnius, and the audience prize at the Grandi Voci singing competition in Salzburg (2018).
She has been performing on international stages and at festivals since 2016. At the Hungarian State Opera, she sang the Queen of the Night in Mozart's “Die Zauberflöte” and Sierva Maria in “Liebe und andere Dämonen” by Eötvös. At the Lwiw National Opera, she sang the Queen of the Night and Violetta Valéry in Verdi's “La Traviata.” She also performed the role of the Queen of the Night at the Macerata Opera Festival in Italy, at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Spain, at the Royal Opera in Stockholm, at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, and in 2024-25 at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein.
In 2017, she performed Ligeti's “Requiem” as a solo soprano in Brussels with the Belgian National Orchestra and the Hungarian National Choir. She sang Zerlina in “Don Giovanni” under the baton of Oksana Lyniv at the OperaFest Tulchyn in Ukraine and Donna Anna at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari. At the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, she appeared in 2019 as Violetta in “La Traviata,” in 2022 as Najade in “Ariadne auf Naxos,” and in 2023 as Susanna in “Le nozze di Figaro.”
