Stephanie Sonnenschein (Director)
Interim director; has worked as a music theatre pedagogue at Bühnen Köln since 2014. After graduating in health and nursing, she studied instrumental education (piano) at bachelor level and music education at master’s level at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln. In addition to working with children and young people, she is passionate about working with senior citizens and people with dementia. In order to develop this profession, she is currently in further training to become a music education expert for the elderly.
Nadine Syskowski began exploring the topic of aesthetic education and upbringing early on in her studies of educational sciences (master’s). This is how she found her way to the Bühnen Köln via a theatre-practical-performative seminar. Since 2018, she has been de- and reconstructing productions, relationships and realities of life with young and old in practical music theatre workshops. She sees theatre analogously as the 'play of life'. Access to cultural-aesthetic education for all is a topic close to her heart.
Anna Maria Hönke (studentische Hilfskraft)
As a student of elementary education at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln/Wuppertal, she is particularly responsible for working with the youngest children and also for creating material booklets for schools.
Katja Fischer returns as music theatre pedagogue for the children's opera section to the house where her passion for theatre began as a teenager. Her previous positions took her to the Musiktheater im Revier Gelsenkirchen, Theater an der Ruhr Mülheim and most recently to the Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf Duisburg. She studied dramaturgy at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Leipzig and worked freelance in the organisation of various music festivals, as a research assistant in a research project and wrote for the city magazine Kreuzer.
